Uh-huh.
Can’t think of a name for this one. Suggestions?
Swim away when the kite flies high..
I really love the dark grey tones of pencil on paper, so i wasn’t really keen to have my illustrations vectorised black & white.
But it has to be done. Bleah!

It is 48 days to Tokyo.

Although it may seem like it, I don’t usually draw on white paper. For some reason, I haven’t been able to get the exact shade of beige/brown/not-white so I’ve always just made it white in Photoshop. The background in the image above is quite close, though it is a little greyer than the actual paper.
Travel-related updates. The both of us (and another friend) have been scouring the internet for some reasonably priced (dirt cheap), accessible (within walking distance from a train station), and clean (the place and us, hopefully) accommodation. So far, it’s been just plenty of false hope and long sessions of clicking around on accommodation reservation sites. I dare say we’ve probably been to every hostel and low-end hotel website in Tokyo.
But oh well, we’ve shortlisted some places (actually, 2 out of a list of 30?) and emailed them regarding availability and rates. Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully, we will get some good news tomorrow.
DF-related. Our (blank) tote bags have arrived and are awaiting our tender loving care. However, we are currently more interested in waiting for the weekend (and that waiting does take up a lot of time).
In more wordy news, our booth application for DF 2009 has finally been approved and confirmed! Got a tad worried (and nervous and impatient) when we didn’t receive word about our application, but after several worried and worrying emails, we have gotten news that we are indeed heading to Design Festa in October. Whoo hoo. Time to get off our arses, stop shopping and work hard.

Something relatively new that we drew for Design Festa. This is gonna be a rubber stamp!

It’s rabbit and trees for now. (work-in-progress)
