if time have limbs, it probably ran on fours..
So what have we been up to?
Our dear Siew san is now in Sapporo, enjoying the snow and cursing the cold. As for April, everything is very much the same except that she has been a really good girl – not only has she revamped her website, she has also set-up the Etsy Shop! Tadah! You can now checkout our crafts and prints at www.aprilandsiew.etsy.com.
I’ll try to update this blog as and when, so do visit us often.
And ciao for now!

Konnichiwa..
Design Festa Vol.30 has come to a close and boy, it was a real eye-opener! Many thanks to all who drop by our little booth and for all the support. You’ve made it a wonderful experience for us.
Sadly, we’ve realized that the organizer has left us out on the printed brochure as well as the artist profile on the Design Festa Site. We’ve notify them about it and hopefully, with a bit of luck, they’ll fix it real soon.
Here’s a peek of Booth 552 at the Design Festa Vol.30. Bon Apetit!

We leave for Tokyo tonight!
If anyone, anyone is in Tokyo during the 24 – 25th October (this coming Saturday and Sunday), please come to Design Festa and spend some dough! Our booth is 552. 552. 552, and we will be there for the whole weekend. And, if we end up sitting on the floor and hawking our wares on a picnic mat, please understand Tokyu Hands probably did not play nice with us.

In more personal news, I’ll also be in Japan for the next 2.5 months. During that period, I’ll be a diligent traveler and do some blogging here.

Two days before we leave for Tokyo.
Last weekend, we met for one last make-things-happen-damnit weekend and finally, we graduated to counting buttons instead of making them. Much, much thanks to Cindy-pau, April’s hubby, and April’s mother for helping us out! Even when the glue we used is supposedly a cancer agent in the state of California (based on experimental data)!

Let’s clap, dance and celebrate!
We’ve finally wrapped up production over the weekend. The illustrations for prints are finally completed and they’re now waiting patiently at the printer’s.
YAY! We’re all set for Tokyo!
Here’s a sneak peek of what I’ve done. Enjoy!

^ We want to stay afloat in our little boat.

^ Going away.

^ Those rainy days.

^ Nothing matters anymore.

^ Random.

^ Let it go.

In monochrome photos because: our bags are black & white, and my phone camera sucks. Mostly because of the latter, but the former is also true. After finishing our tote bags and most of our buttons, the April & August team will be going on a short break next weekend. The August half will, however, still be frantically drawing and printing prints. Hurrahs! Life gets a little hectic when there are only two days to a weekend.

Nice things came in the mail yesterday from the good people of Design Festa.
#1: Our exhibitor passes

#2: Our booth (552, 552, 552)!

25 more days. And now we can’t even afford to sleep in on weekends. Bah.

Some blurry photos from yesterday’s session. Both of us have been trying to work rather hard for the past two weekends to get our silk screening skills in order. Last week, it was mostly disappointments and exasperated sighs. Yesterday, we decided Plan B = actual results + less time out in the sun, and so from next weekend, we are going to be really busy beavers and start printing our tote bags and badges/buttons for real. More photos after the jump.
38 days.

Since we’ll never know what lies ahead, why not take a break?
